문장의 종류

구(句) = 단어 + 단어
단문(短文) = 주어 + 동사
절(節) = 접속사 + 단문
중문(重文) = 단문 + 등위(접속사) + 단문
복문(複文) = 단문 + 종속(접속사) + 단문
혼문(混文) = 단문 + 등위 + 단문 + 종속 + 단문

문장 파악 요령

1. 주어 / 동사 / 접속사를 구분 해야 한다.
2. 문장에는 반드시 주어 동사가 있어야 한다.
3. 주어는 전치사가 붙지 않은 첫 명사이다.
4. 동사가 두 개 이상이면 접속사가 반드시 필요하다.
5. 접속사가 있으면 반드시 동사가 있다.
6. 조동사가 있으면 반드시 원형 본 동사가 있다.

기본 5 문형

1. 주어 + 동사(자동사) (S+V)
   The earth moves.  Spring has come.
2. 주어 + 동사 + 보어 (S+V+C)
   He is old.
   It is warm in spring.

   Cats catch mice.
   He wrote this book.
4. 주어 + 동사 + 목적(간접) + 목적(직접)(S+V+O+O)

8 품사

* 명사(Noun)
  주어 , 목적어, 보어, 전치사의 목적어 등이 되는 말이다.
* 대명사(Pronoun)
  명사 대신에 주어, 목적어, 보어 등이 되는 말이다.
* 형용사(Adjective)
  명사 대명사를 직간접적으로 꾸미는 역할을 하는 말이다.
  a, an, the 는 반드시 명사 앞에 붙여 쓴다.
* 동사(Verb)
  동작이나 상태를 드러 내는 말이다.
  본 동사와 조동사로 구분이 되는데,
  본동사는 be, (am, are, is, was, were),
  조동사는 do, have, shall, will, may, can, must, ought, need,
  등이 있다.
* 부사(Adverb)
  동사, 형용사 또는 다른 부사에 부수되어 그것을
  꾸미는 말이다.
  The horse ran fast. (fast는 부사로 동사를 꾸밈)
  The horse ran very fasr.(형용사를 꾸밈)
  I am very glad.(형용사를 꾸밈)
* 전치사(Preposition)
  명사 대명사 앞에 붙어서 다른 말과 연결을 맺고, 그 관계를
  표시하는 품사이다.
  A latter from the mother.
  He came to the school.
  전치사에는 about, above, after, against, among, at, in, for,
             from, into, of, on, to, under, with, within, 등이
             있다.

* 접속사(Conjunction)
  구와 절을 연결하는 품사이다.
  접속사에는 and, but, or, nor, that, if, whether, when, as,
             before, after, till, since, because, under, lest,
             than, as ... as, not only .. but also, as well as,
             in order that 등이 있다.
* 감탄사(Interjection)
  느낌이나 감정을 드러 내는 말이다.
  Alas, all is lost !
  Oh, how lucky we are !

We has much rain in summer. (rain 은 명사)
It rains very much (rain 은 동사)
Lend me your light. (light 는 명사)
Please light me the lamp. (light 는 형용사)
Is iron light or heavy. ( light 는 형용사)
Light come, light go (light 는 부사)

품사와 수식 관계

1. 부부형명 (부사 + 부사 + 형용사 + 명사)
2. 조동 (조동사 + 동사)
3. 동부부동 (동사 + 부사 + 부사 + 동사)
4. 전명 (전치사 + 명사)
5. 명구 (명사 + 형용사 구)
6. 명절 (명사 + 형용사 절)

형용사는 명사와 대명사를 꾸민다.      부사는 형용사, 동사, 부사를 꾸민다.

다음의 의미를 가지면 형용사 이다.

~ like = godlike, warlike 등
~ ible = possible,  terrible, sensible 등
~ ful = beautiful, careful, graceful 등
~ able = agreeable, miserable, remarkable 등
~ ish = selfish, foolish, childish 등
~ ical = historical, mechanical, 등
~ ic  = atomic, domestic,  organic 등
~ ous, ious = righteous, victorious 등
~ ly  =  ly의 어미를 가지면 대부분이 부사이다.
          hardly, wiedly, shortly, beautifuly 등
~ ly 형태로 부사가 되는 단어들
      early, only, lilely, unlikely, cowardly, freindly, lordly, kindly,
      lively, stately, hourly, daily, weekly 등
     * 두가지 형태를 가지는 부사
     slow - slowly,   loud - loudly,  soft - softly,  cheap - cheaply,
     sharp - sharply,  quick - quickly,
     drive slow = drive slowly,  and speak loud and clear = and speak
     loudly and clearly.

부사의 위치
정상의 위치는  문장의 뒤에 온다.
도치 때는 주어 앞에 온다.
삽입때는 문장의 중간에 온다.
He went to hawaii with his friends last summer.
Last summer, he went to hawaii with his friends.
With his friends, he went to hawaii last summer.
They, in fact could succeed in it at the first try.

전치사 + 명사

in this country.
at the bank.
with your heart and soul.

명사 + 구

명사 + 절

man whom I met in America last spring.
the book which she sent me last christmas.

* 반드시 문장의 구조를 분석하고, 품사를 반드시 구별
  할 수 있어야 한다.

but 가 * 접속사 일 때는 문장의 앞에 온다. ( 그러나 로 해석 )
         He was very tired but he couldn't stop his work.
       * 전치사 일 때는 명사 앞에 온다. ( ...... 는 제외하고 로 해석 )
         They go to the sport center every day but sunday.
       * 부사 일 때는 동사 앞에 온다. ( 오직, 겨우 로 해석 )
         He did but gave a sign in the situation.

yet 가 * 부사 일 때는 문장의 끝에 온다. ( 아직 으로 해석 )
         No body has come yet.
       * 접속사 일 때는 주어 앞에 온다. ( 그러나 로 해석 )
         Yet the ceremony began on time.

like 가 * 동사 일 때는 주어 뒤에 온다. ( 좋아하다 로 해석 )
         I like coffee very much.
       * 접속사로 쓰일 때는 주어 앞에 온다. (처럼 으로 해석 )
         He help me like I expected.
       * 형용사로 쓰일 때는 be 동사 뒤에 온다. ( ....와 같은,
         닮은 으로 해석 )
         He is like his father.
       * 명사로 쓰이면 동사의 뒤에 온다. ( 기호, 좋아하는 것으로 해석)
         Check the number " like or dislike " the question.
       * 전치사로 쓰이면 명사 앞에 온다. ( 처럼, ...., 와 같이로 해석 )
         They wanted to fly like bird.

matter 가 * 명사로 쓰이면, 동사 뒤에나, 전치사 앞에 온다. ( 일,
            사건으로 해석 )
            What is the matter with you.
         * 동사로 쓰이면 주어 뒤에 온다. ( 중요한 으로 해석 )
           It doesn't matter to me anyway.

Want 가 * 동사로 쓰이면 주어 뒤에 온다. (원하다로 해석 )
           The more we have, the more we want.
         * 명사로 쓰이면 동사 앞이나, 뒤에 온다. (걸핍, 부족으로 해석 )
           Meny people died for want of water.

only 가  * 형용사 이면 명사 앞에 온다. ( 유일한 으로 해석 )
           She is an only daughter of the King.
         * 부사이면, 형, 부, 동사 뒤에 온다. (오직, 다만으로 해석 )
           He drinks coffee only in the morning.

So  가   * 접속사 이면, 주어 앞에 온다 . ( 그래서 로 해석 )
           His idea was original , so the boss adapted to the
           new plan.
         * 부사로 쓰일 때는 형용사나 부사 앞에 온다. ( 아주 로 해석 )
           She is so beautiful girl.
         * 대명사로 쓰이면 동사 뒤에 온다. ( 그렇게 로 해석 )
           I think so, too.

문장의 구성 요소 판단 법

1. 주어 판단 법
   * 동사 앞에 있는 명사.
   * 전치사가 붙어 있지 않는 명사.
   * 대명사의 주격 인 명사.
   * { 은, ~ 는, ~ 이, ~ 가, ~ 도 ] 가 되는 말

2. 진주어 / 가 주어
   * It is  to 부정사
           동명사
           명사절
   * It is  ~  for  to 부정사
   * It is  ~  of   to 부정사
   * 날씨, 날자, 요일, 시간, 거리, 명암, 정도

3. 동사의 구분 법
   주어 다음에 오는 단어가 동사이다.
   * 품사에서 동사
   * 시제의 번화
   * 조동사 +  동사
   * 동사  +  부사
   * There is  /  There are
   * ~ 이다.  , ~ 하다.
   * 동사에 따른 해석
     be 동사 + 명사  =   ...... 이다.
              + 형용사 = ........하다.
              + 부사  =  ...... 있다.
     일반동사 + 명사  =  ..... 을, 를, 에게
              + 형용사 = ..... 게 하다.
              + 부사  =  해석 법에 따른다.

4. 목적어 판단 법
   * 동사 뒤에 오는 명사
   * ~ 을, 를, ~ 에게
   * 첫 번째 오는 것은 간접 목적으로  ~ 에게로 해석
     두 번째 오는 것은 직접 목적어로  ~ 을,를 로 해석

5. 목적격 보어
   주어 + 동사 + 목적 + (전치사 / 부사)가 아닌 것이
   왔을 때는 목적격 보어이다.
   명사
   형용사
   동사 가족 원형 부정사
             to 부정사
             현재분사 ~ ing
             과거분사
6. 주격 보어
   주어와 같은 것이다.
   be 동사 + 명사 +형용사
   일반 동사 +  형용사
   Newton was a great astronomer.
   He lived to be old man.
   I am a student.

* 1. Nowadays woman are turning to many jobs that used to
     be for men only ; they are becoming doctors, mechanics,
     politicians, and even soldier.
  2. They often receive lower pay than man for doing the same
     work and, in many cases, men get perference in hiring
     and promotions.
  3. This kind of job discrimination makes woman feel like
     " second - class citizens. "
  4. These groups say man should help with the housework and
     child care to free woman for outside work.
  5. In spite of consideration gains they have made, woman still
     have a long way to go.
  6. There are some male employers who take advantage of their
     female employees by making them do personal errands.
  7. The feminist movement is encouraging woman to be more
     assertive and to express their feeling openly.

동사의 종류

* 동사의 변화를 완전하게 이해를 하면, 영어를 70%를 정복한
   것과 같다고 하였다.
   자동사 ( 주어 스스로가 동작을 하는것, 다음에 명사가 온다.)
   동사 = 타동사 (목적어가 있는 동사이다.)

1. 완전 자동사
   주어 + 동사 + 부사(구, 장소)
   * 전치사 + 명사 = 부사구 이다.
   * of 는 형용사 구이다.
   I live here.
   She live with his parents.
   The sun rises in the east.

2. 불완전 자동사.
   주어 + be동사 + 명사/ 형용사
   주어 + 동사 + 형용사(형용사는 주격보어)
   He is smart student.
   He was happy that.
   You look good in the red sweater.
   The sky turend crimson like colour.

3. 타동사 ( 목적어, 보어를 필요로 하는 동사)
   * 완전 타동사
     주어 + 동사 + 명사( 목적어)
     I like coffee.
     They produced sports caes in Korea.
     They found a new land after 40-days sailing.
     Some generous hearts help the poor and weak.
     He learned a lesson from good teacher.
   * 불완전 타동사
     주어 + 동사 + 명사 + 전치사 / 부사
     목적격 보어가 있다.
     to 부정사가 온다.
     She made him a famous singer.
     She made him happy.
     She made him cut the grass of the garden.
     She forced him to read the book from cover to cover.

     want = 원하다.
     ask = 요구하다, 묻다.
     advice = 충고하다.
     tell = 말 해 주다.
     recommenend = 추천하다, 권유하다.
     order = 명령하다.
     I want you to come to my party.
     She ask me to help her with cooking.

     I advice him not to go there again.
     I told him to stay back from the bed place.
     I recommend to read as many book as possible.
     I ordered him to finish the work by tomorrow.

4. 조동사
   * 동사 앞에 반드시 온다.
   * 조동사 끼리 겹칠 수 있다.
   * 본 동사는 원형이다.
   * 문장형태의 변화는 be동사와 같다.
   * 원형은 미래의 의미도 있다.
   * 시제의 변화가 있다.
   * 조동사 + 원형 = 현재 / 미래
   조동사 + 완료 = 과거

   can = 할 수 있다 (가능)
         할 줄 안다. (능력)
         해도 좋다. ( 허락)
         ~ 일지도 모른다. (추정)
   may = ~ 해도 좋다. (허락)
          ~ 일 지도 모른다. (추정)
          ~ 하길 바란다. (기원)
   may well = ~ 당연하다.
   may as well = ~ 하는게 낫다.
   must = ~을 해야 한다. (의무, 강제)
   Musr = ~ 해야 한다. (의무 강제)
           ~ 임에 틀림이 없다. (추정적 확신)
   will = ~ 일 것이다.(미래, 단순미래, 의지 미래. )
   shall = ~ 할 것이다.
   would = ~ 할 지도 모른다. (막연한 추측)
            ~ 하곤 했다. (불규칙적 습관)
   used to = ~ 하곤 했다. (규칙적 습관)
   should = ~ 하는 것이 좋겠다. (충고)
   ought to = ~ 하는 것이 당연하다. (당연)
   had batter = ~ 하는 것이 좋겠다.
   would rather = 차라리 하는 것이 좋겠다.
   dare = 감히 ~ 하다.
   need = ~ 할 필요가 있다. 부정문에만 쓰인다.
   do  =  정말로 한다. (강조)
   be able to = 능력에 사용

ought to have + PP = 하는게 당연하다.

감각을 뜻하는 동사이다.
see = ~ 하는 것을 보다.
watch = ~ 하는 것을 보다. (자세히)
hear = ~ 하는 것을 듣다.
listen to  =  ~ 하는 것을 듣다. (자세히)
feel =  ~ 느끼다.
notice = ~ 하는 것을 알아채다.
find = ~을 발견하다.

I saw him play in the park.

사역 동사

남에게 무엇을 하라고 하는 동사이다.

let = ~ 하게 해준다. (허락)
make = ~ 하도록 만들었다. (강제)
have = ~ 하라고 부탁하다. (부탁)는 원형부정사 to 부정시가 온다.
get = make ~ 만들었다.
help = ~ 하도록 하다. (도움) 등은 원형 부정시아 to 부정사
             모두가 온다.
I will let him clean the car.
I will make him clean the car.
I will have him clean the car.
I will get him to clean the car.
I wii help him clean the car.
I will help him to clean the car.
* 접속사 뒤에는 평서문 형태를 가져야 한다.
* 동사 앞에는 관사가 올 수 없다.
* 관계 대명사가 목적격일 경우 be 동사가 올 수 없고, 타동사가
  와야 한다.
* 부사 앞에는 in 이 올 수 없다.

특기 사항

동사 + ~ ing = 동명사이다. (하기, 하는것, 한다는 것)
                현제분사이다. (하는 중, 하는 중인, 하면서)

동사 + ed = 과거분사이다. (되어진,  ...받는, 되어지는 채)
to + 동사 = to 부정사 이다. to 뒤에 오는 동사는 원형이고,
            명사, 부사, 형용사로 해석을 한다.
* 동명사
   * 주어 앞에 온다. (주어)
   * 동사 뒤에 온다. (목적어)
   * 전치사 + ing
   * 소유격 뒤에 온다. (동명사)

* 현재분사
   명사 앞에 온다, 구로서는 명사 뒤에서 수식한다.

He was driving to her home, anticipating, a wonderful dinner
with her.

* 과거 분사
   명사 앞에서 명사를 수식한다.
   구로서 명사 앞에서 수식한다.
   별도로 사용 할 때는 수동분사 구문이다.

* 전문을 읽는다.
* 동사와 접속사를 구분한다.

3. 완료진행 3 시제
   * 현재완료 = have been + PP

부속사적 접속사

* 접주 = 접속사 + 주어 로 주어 앞에 접속사가 온다.
  접동 = 접속사 + 동사 로 동사 앞에 접속사가 온다.

1. 시간
   when = ~ 할 때
   while = ~ 하는 동안에
   until =  ~ 할 때까지
   till  =  ~ 할 때까지
   before = ~ 하기 전에
   after =  ~ 한 후에
   since = ~ 이래로 (완료가 아니면, ~ 때문에로 해석)
           have + PP 와 관련이 있다.
   as long as = ~ 하는 한 (시간)
   as for as = ~ 하는 한 (거리)
   so for as = ~ 하는 한
   as soon as = 하자마자.
   by  =  정한 시간 까지
2. 이유
   because(논리적 이유) = ~ 왜냐하면,  ~ 하기 때문에
   since (서로 알고 있는 사유) = ~ 왜냐하면, (완료일때=이래로,
                           완료가 아니면= 때문에)
   as  =  ~ 왜냐하면,  ~ 하기 때문에
   now that = ~ 왜냐하면,  ~ 하기 때문에
3. 조건
   if  =  ~ 만약  ... 한다면
   unless = ~ 만약 하지 않는다면, (이중 부정이 될 때 긍정이 된다)

* 접속사를 구분 하는이유
  등위 접속사 = 절에서 제일 먼저 해석한다.
  종속 접속사 = 절에서 맨 나중에 해석을 한다.

명사절 접속사

that  =  ~ 것
what =  ~ 것
if   =  ~ 인지 아닌지(절 앞에 동사가 나오면 목적을 갖게 된다.)

whatever = ~ 무엇이 든지

* 선행사가 없는 것은 명사 절이다.
  복합관계 대명사절 = 관계사 + ever 이다.

접속사와 동사와의 관계

* 접속사는 주어 앞에 온다.
* 주어 앞에 없으면 생략 된 것이다.
* 생략된 곳에 접속사를 넣으면 that를 넣으면 된다.

1. 동사가 둘이면 접속사는 하나이다.
2. 접속사의 수는 동사 - 1 이다.
3. 접속사는 동사와 동사 사이에 오며, 뒤에 온 주어 앞에 온다.
4. 없으면 앞에 있다.
5. 앞에도 없으면 생략된 것이며, 뒤에 온 주어 앞에 온다.
6. 동사가 겹치면, 두 번째 동사가 전체 동사이다.

7. 명사 + 주어 + 동사 이면, 명사와 주어 사이에 that 이 생략
    되었다.
8. 앞 동사에 관계사가 있으면, 두 번째 동사가 전체 동사이다.

* 예문

1. 동사가 둘이면 접속사는 하나이다.
   I like spring best because there are a lot of flower in the feld
   and mountain.
   We can overcome any difficulties althought we have a hard
   time now.
   I will visit the man who helped me with my business last year.

   in college.

2. 접속사의 수는 동사 - 1 이다.

6. 동사가 겹치면 두 번째 동사가 전체동사

   the patients with cancers.
7. 명사 + 주어 + 동사이면, 명사와 명사 사이에 that 이 생략 된
   것이다.

   at Havard University.
   The man that he will hire majored in managrment engineering
   at Havard University.
   The book     I recommend you was written by Hemingway.
   The bool that I recommend you was writtrn by Hemingway.
   The item     they want to develop will attract the consumers.

8. 앞 동사 앞에 관계사가 있으면, 두 번째 동사가 전체동사이다.
   Only thing that I have to do for him now is to encrourage his
   passion.

   Whatever you want will be severed by me sweet home.

특기 사항

* 동사가 하나면 단문이다. ( 주어 + 동사 )
  I will learn english.
* 동사가 둘 이면 중문이다. ( 단문 + 등위 + 단문 )
  I will learn english and it will help me a lot.
* 동사가 둘 이고, 종속으로 연결된 것은 복문이다.(단문 + 종속 + 단문)
  I wil learn english which will help me a lot.

* 동사가 셋으로 등위와 종속으로 연결된 것은 혼문이다.
  ( 단문 + 등위 + 단문 + 종속 + 단문 )

* 전치사 = 명사 대명사 앞에 붙어 연결을 맺고,관계를 표시하는
  품사이다.
* 좁속사는 = 단어와 구, 절을 연결하는 품사이다. 접속사를 찾으면
  단문이 보인다.

* He did not die happy.           * He like a dog.
  Happy, He did not die.             He is like a dog.
* I can do it.                             He acts just like father.
  I can can it.                         * Tom gave Mary a dog.
  I can can you.                        Rom gave a dog Mary.
* I hate must(곰팡이)   It must be true.(추측)
  I must work.(의무)    I like must.( 포도액)

* 문장의 원칙 = 단어는 단어 앞에 오고,
                구와 절은 단어 뒤에 온다.

   look off =  ...에서 눈을 때다.
2. 알아 두면 좋은 숙어와 단어

   by using =  ...을 하므로서

3. Why, But 뒤에는 to 부정사가 오지 않는다.
   sit 다음에는 on, swim 다음에는 in 이 온다.
   by = 한계를 나타내는   .... 까지
   until = 진행되는 것으로  .... 까지
   부사 앞에는 전치사가 올 수 없다.
   접속사 다음에는 평서문이 오나, 의문은 올 수 없다.
   동사 앞에 관사가 올 수 없고, 관사 앞에 전치사나, 동사가
   올 수 없다.
   be 동사 뒤에는 부사가 올 수 없다.
